Medical Billing & Coding
Description:
The medical billing & coding intern, during their time at Heart & Health, will learn the following:
- Billing procedures
- Checking patients in and out
- Scheduling appointments
- Insurance verifications
- Referrals & authorizations
The following skills are preferred:
- Currently enrolled in a Medical Billing & Coding program
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to all established policies and procedures
- Ability to work positively within a team environment
- Knowledge of insurance and billing codes, E.O.B. interpretation, medical terminology desirable
- Be able to multi-task, stay focused, be accurate and thrive in a fast-paced, high volume environment
